This is an excellent opportunity for a compassionate individual who is passionate about supporting children with additional needs and helping them achieve their full potential in a nurturing learning environment. The Role As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with pupils who require additional support, both inside and outside the classroom. You will help deliver tailored interventions, encourage engagement in learning, and support the social and emotional development of pupils with special educational needs. Responsibilities Provide 1:1 and small group support for pupils with SEN. Assist the class teacher in delivering engaging lessons and activities. Support pupils with Autism (ASC), ADHD, speech and language needs, and other additional learning requirements. Promote positive behaviour and emotional wellbeing. Help implement individual education plans (IEPs) and tailored support strategies. Build positive relationships with pupils, staff, and parents. Encourage independence, confidence, and participation in classroom activities.Requirements Previous experience working with children in a school, childcare, youth work, or support setting. A genuine passion for supporting children with special educational needs. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Patient, caring, and adaptable approach.
