Primary SEN Teaching Assistant (VR/ ) Bristol, England

Prospero Teaching are currently recruiting SEND Teaching Assistants to join a primary school in Bristol supporting children with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health Difficulties (SEMH) from September 2026.
This is a rewarding but demanding role iin a specialist setting within a school. The successful candidate will work closely with students who have complex special educational needs, requiring patience, flexibility, and strong behaviour-management skills.
About the Role
- Provide 1:1 and small-group support for pupils with Special Educational Needs.
- Assist pupils in accessing the curriculum and achieving their individual learning targets.
- Support the social, emotional, and behavioural development of children, promoting confidence and independence.
- Work closely with the class teacher and SENCO to implement personalised learning and support plans.
Experience/Qualifications and Requirements
- Experience working in primary school
- Previous experience supporting children with SEND
- An enhanced DBS on the update service or be willing to apply for one
- References covering the last 24 months
