Teaching Assistant - Primary School

• Full-Time 8:30am - 3:30pm

Reed Education are currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming primary school in the DN7 area on a full-time basis, starting as soon as possible.

This rewarding role will involve providing support to four pupils across Key Stage 2 , helping them to access learning and thrive within the classroom environment.

The Role

You will be supporting:

• 2 pupils requiring academic support to help them engage with learning and make progress.
• 2 pupils with complex behavioural needs , including one pupil with undiagnosed ASD , requiring consistent support, understanding, and positive behaviour management strategies.

A structured timetable will be in place to ensure pupils receive the appropriate support throughout the school day.

The Ideal Candidate

We are looking for someone who:

• Has previous experience working as a Teaching Assistant or supporting children within an educational setting.
• Is confident supporting pupils with additional needs and challenging behaviours.
• Has experience using de-escalation techniques effectively.
• Can build strong, positive relationships with pupils and gain their trust.
• Is patient, resilient, and adaptable.
• Works well as part of a wider school team.
