Education First are currently recruiting for a passionate and dedicated Primary Teacher to join a welcoming primary school in Croydon on a long-term basis. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Primary Teacher or an enthusiastic ECT looking to develop their teaching career within a supportive school environment.

The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering engaging lessons, creating a positive classroom environment and supporting pupils to achieve their academic and personal potential.

The Role – Primary Teacher

• Planning and delivering engaging lessons across the primary curriculum.

• Teaching pupils across EYFS, KS1 or KS2, depending on experience and school requirements.

• Creating a positive, inclusive and stimulating learning environment.

• Supporting pupils' academic, social and emotional development.

• Differentiating lessons to meet the individual needs and abilities of all pupils.

• Managing classroom behaviour and maintaining high expectations for learning and conduct.

• Building strong, positive relationships with pupils, parents and colleagues.

• Assessing pupil progress and adapting teaching strategies to support learning.

• Working collaboratively with Teaching Assistants and other school staff.

• Supporting pupils with SEN and additional learning needs where required.

• Contributing to the wider life of the school and promoting a positive school community.

The Ideal Candidate

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or relevant teaching qualification, where required.

• Previous experience teaching in a primary school setting.

• Strong knowledge of the primary curriculum and effective teaching strategies.

• A passion for supporting children to achieve their full potential.

• Excellent classroom management and behaviour management skills.

• The ability to plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons.

• Strong communication and organisational skills.

• A patient, caring and adaptable approach to teaching.

• Experience supporting pupils with SEN is desirable.

• The ability to work effectively as part of a team and contribute to a positive school environment.
