Primary Teacher – Part-Time and Full Time Opportunities
Location: Southampton Start Date: September 2026
Contract Type: Part-Time & Full-Time
Primary schools across Southampton are seeking enthusiastic and dedicated Primary Teachers to join their teams from September on a part-time basis.
This is an excellent opportunity for qualified teachers looking for flexible, part-time work while making a positive impact in the classroom. Opportunities are available across a range of supportive and welcoming primary school settings, including regular class teaching and PPA cover.
The Role
As a Part-Time Primary Teacher, you will:
Deliver engaging and creative lessons across the primary age range Provide high-quality PPA cover across different year groups where required Plan and adapt learning to meet the needs of all pupils, including those with SEN Create a positive, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environment Manage behaviour effectively in line with school policies Work collaboratively with teaching assistants, staff, and parents Assess, monitor, and report on pupil progress where appropriate Contribute positively to the wider school community
Requirements
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is essential Experience teaching within a primary school setting Strong classroom and behaviour management skills A flexible, proactive, and positive approach Confidence teaching across a range of primary year groups A passion for teaching and supporting children's development

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
