Primary Teaching Assistant

Overview

Are you a qualified teacher looking to use your QTS in a focused Teaching Assistant role? Do you have previous experience supporting pupils within a primary school? Can you confidently provide classroom support and deliver small-group interventions across Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2?

TeacherActive is working with a welcoming primary school in Chesterfield that has a positive learning environment and a strong OFSTED rating. The school is looking to appoint a Teaching Assistant on a full-time, temporary-to-permanent basis, with a flexible start date. The successful candidate will provide classroom support across KS1 and KS2, deliver small-group interventions and work closely with teaching staff to support pupil progress.

Responsibilities

• Provide classroom support across Key Stage 1 (KS1) and Key Stage 2 (KS2) within a primary school.
• Deliver small-group interventions to support pupil progress.
• Work closely with teaching staff to support pupil progress.

Qualifications

• QTS
• Previous experience working within a primary school
• Experience supporting pupils across KS1 and KS2
• The ability to deliver effective small-group interventions
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• A positive, proactive and adaptable approach
