Principal AI Ethicist - Remote

About the Role

Our client, a forward-thinking leader in AI and Emerging Technologies , is seeking a distinguished Principal AI Ethicist to join their entirely remote team. In this critical role, you will be responsible for establishing and upholding the ethical standards for all AI development and deployment activities across the organization. You will guide the creation of AI systems that are fair, transparent, and beneficial to society, working closely with engineering, product, and legal teams. Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement comprehensive ethical guidelines and frameworks for AI development and deployment.
• Conduct ethical risk assessments and impact analyses for new AI initiatives and products.
• Advise cross-functional teams on ethical considerations related to data usage, bias mitigation, and algorithmic fairness.
• Develop training materials and conduct workshops to promote ethical AI practices within the organization.
• Stay abreast of evolving AI ethics regulations, research, and best practices globally.
• Act as a key advocate for responsible AI, both internally and externally.

Requirements

• Advanced degree (Master's or PhD) in Ethics, Philosophy, Law, Computer Science with an ethics focus, or a related field.
• Minimum of 6 years of experience in AI ethics, responsible AI, or technology policy.
• Deep understanding of AI/ML concepts, potential biases, and societal impacts.
• Experience in developing ethical frameworks, conducting risk assessments, and advising technical teams.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills, crucial for a remote role.
• Demonstrated ability to influence stakeholders and drive change in complex organizations.
