Principal Bioinformatics Scientist

About the Role

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the design and implementation of complex bioinformatics pipelines for analyzing diverse biological datasets (genomics, transcriptomics, proteomics, etc.).

• Collaborate with cross-functional research teams to formulate hypotheses and address key biological questions.
• Mentor junior bioinformaticians and guide the technical direction of bioinformatics projects.

• Present findings to internal teams, collaborators, and at scientific conferences.

Requirements

• PhD in Bioinformatics, Computational Biology, Statistics, Computer Science, or a related quantitative field.
• Minimum of 10 years of experience in bioinformatics, with a strong focus on large-scale data analysis.
• Expertise in programming languages (e.g., Python, R) and experience with cloud computing platforms.
• Deep knowledge of statistical methods, machine learning algorithms, and biological databases.
• Proven ability to lead complex bioinformatics projects and mentor scientific staff.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, essential for a remote, collaborative environment.
