About the Role
Our client is seeking a highly distinguished Principal Chemical Process Engineer to lead critical, advanced projects within their global, remote engineering team. This senior role demands extensive expertise in chemical process design, optimisation, and scale-up, with a strong emphasis on innovation and strategic technical direction. You will be instrumental in shaping the future of our chemical processes, mentoring junior engineers, and tackling the most challenging technical problems. Key Responsibilities
- Provide expert technical leadership and direction for complex chemical process design and development projects.
- Develop innovative process concepts and technologies, evaluating their technical and economic feasibility.
- Oversee the execution of process simulations, feasibility studies, and pilot plant campaigns.
- Ensure that all process designs adhere to the highest standards of safety, quality, and environmental sustainability.
- Mentor and guide a team of chemical engineers, fostering their technical and professional growth.
- Serve as a technical authority, advising senior management on strategic process engineering matters.
Requirements
- PhD or Master's degree in Chemical Engineering .
- 12+ years of progressive experience in chemical process engineering, with a significant track record in leading major projects.
- Demonstrated expertise in advanced process simulation, modelling, and optimisation techniques.
- In-depth knowledge of diverse chemical processes, reaction engineering, separations, and control systems.
- Proven leadership capabilities and experience managing technical teams.
- Exceptional problem-solving skills and the ability to think strategically, with outstanding remote collaboration capabilities.
