Key Responsibilities
- Direct and manage research programs focused on the synthesis and characterization of advanced materials.
- Develop innovative chemical processes and formulations to achieve specific material performance characteristics.
- Oversee the scale-up of promising new materials from laboratory bench to pilot plant production.
- Conduct in-depth analysis of material properties using advanced spectroscopic and analytical techniques.
- Mentor and guide a team of research chemists, fostering an environment of innovation and collaboration.
- Author technical reports, patents, and publications to disseminate research findings.
Requirements
- Ph.D. in Chemistry, Polymer Science, or a closely related field.
- Extensive experience (8+ years) in industrial research and development, with a focus on materials science and polymer chemistry.
- Demonstrated leadership experience in managing research projects and teams.
- Expertise in synthetic organic chemistry, polymer synthesis, and material characterization techniques (e.g., NMR, Mass Spectrometry, DSC, TGA).
- Familiarity with process development and scale-up challenges in chemical manufacturing.
- Exceptional problem-solving abilities and a strong commitment to scientific rigor and safety.
