About the Role

Our client is seeking a highly experienced Principal Civil Engineer to lead infrastructure strategy development, working entirely remotely. You will be instrumental in defining future projects and ensuring that infrastructure plans align with economic, social, and environmental objectives. Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement long-term infrastructure strategies and master plans.
• Provide expert technical advice on infrastructure development, asset management, and lifecycle planning.
• Conduct feasibility studies and options appraisals for strategic infrastructure investments.
• Lead engagement with clients, government bodies, and stakeholders on infrastructure policy and planning.
• Mentor and guide engineering teams in strategic thinking and technical best practices.

Requirements

• Master's degree in Civil Engineering or a related strategic planning discipline.
• Significant experience (12+ years) in civil engineering, with a strong focus on infrastructure strategy, planning, and policy.
• Proven ability to lead complex strategic projects and influence decision-making.
• Deep understanding of infrastructure asset management, funding models, and regulatory frameworks.
• Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, with experience in remote leadership.
• Chartered Engineer (CEng) status is essential.
