Key Responsibilities
- Provide ultimate technical leadership and strategic direction for all major civil engineering projects undertaken by the firm.
- Oversee the conceptualization, design, and implementation phases of complex infrastructure, transport, and development schemes.
- Conduct high-level reviews of designs, calculations, and project plans to ensure technical excellence and regulatory compliance.
- Manage key client relationships, acting as the primary technical point of contact and ensuring client satisfaction.
- Mentor and develop senior engineering staff, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and technical expertise.
- Represent the company in high-level technical forums and contribute to industry-wide best practice development.
Requirements
- A Master's degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline, with an exceptional academic record.
- Over 10 years of extensive experience in senior civil engineering roles, with a significant focus on project leadership and strategic planning.
- Chartered Engineer status (e.g., FICE) is mandatory, with a distinguished career history.
- Expertise in a wide range of civil engineering disciplines, including structural, transportation, and geotechnical engineering.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multi-million pound projects and lead large, multidisciplinary engineering teams.
- Outstanding leadership, communication, negotiation, and strategic decision-making capabilities.
