Our client is seeking a highly experienced Principal Civil Engineer to spearhead major infrastructure initiatives in Coventry . This senior position involves leading complex engineering projects from conception through to completion, ensuring technical excellence and strategic alignment with client objectives. Key Responsibilities
- Take overall technical responsibility for the design and delivery of significant civil engineering projects.
- Develop and implement innovative engineering solutions for infrastructure challenges.
- Lead and mentor a team of civil engineers, technicians, and designers.
- Oversee the preparation of complex design calculations, drawings, and specifications.
- Engage with clients, stakeholders, and regulatory bodies to ensure project success and compliance.
- Conduct advanced risk assessments and implement mitigation strategies for project challenges.
Requirements
- Master’s degree in Civil Engineering or a closely related discipline.
- Extensive experience (10+ years) as a Civil Engineer, with a significant portion in a principal or lead role .
- Demonstrated expertise in managing large, complex infrastructure projects, such as transportation or water management.
- Strong knowledge of relevant UK and international engineering standards and codes of practice.
- Professional Engineer (PE) or equivalent chartered status is essential.
- Exceptional leadership, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
