Principal Computational Biologist

About the Role

Our client is seeking a highly experienced Principal Computational Biologist to join their innovative research team on a fully remote basis. Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement advanced computational and statistical methods for the analysis of multi-omics data (genomics, transcriptomics, proteomics).
• Interpret complex biological data to identify disease mechanisms, biomarkers, and therapeutic targets.
• Collaborate extensively with experimental scientists to design studies and interpret results.
• Lead the development of novel analytical tools and pipelines to address specific biological questions.
• Communicate research findings effectively to both scientific and non-scientific audiences through presentations and reports.
• Mentor junior computational biologists and contribute to the overall scientific strategy of the team.

Requirements

• Ph.D. in Computational Biology , Bioinformatics, Biostatistics, or a related quantitative field.
• Minimum of 7 years of experience in computational biology or bioinformatics, with a strong focus on analyzing large-scale biological datasets.
• Demonstrated expertise in statistical analysis, machine learning, and programming (e.g., Python, R).
• Experience with various omics data types and relevant analytical tools and databases.
• Proven ability to lead research projects and collaborate effectively in a remote setting.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain complex concepts clearly.
