About the Role
Our client is looking for an exceptional Principal Data Scientist to join their pioneering team, driving the application of Artificial Intelligence and machine learning in drug discovery . Operating in a fully remote capacity, you will leverage vast datasets to build predictive models, identify novel therapeutic targets, and accelerate the development of life-saving medicines. This role is critical in shaping the company's AI strategy and requires a blend of deep technical expertise, strategic thinking, and a passion for innovation. Key Responsibilities
- Develop and deploy sophisticated machine learning models to predict drug efficacy, toxicity, and mechanism of action.
- Design and implement data mining strategies for large-scale biological and chemical datasets.
- Collaborate with computational chemists, biologists, and pharmacologists to integrate AI insights into R&D processes.
- Stay abreast of the latest advancements in AI/ML and their applications in the pharmaceutical industry.
- Communicate complex findings and strategic recommendations to senior leadership and research teams.
Requirements
- Ph.D. or equivalent experience in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, or a related quantitative field.
- 10+ years of experience in data science, with a significant focus on applying AI/ML to biological or chemical data.
- Expertise in programming languages such as Python, R, and SQL, along with ML libraries (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch, Scikit-learn).
- Proven track record of successfully deploying ML models in a research or product environment.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to thrive in a remote, fast-paced setting.
