Principal Development Management Planning Officer

Carrington West are assisting their local authority client based in the Midlands in their search for a Principal Planning Officer to join their Development Management team. The contract will be offered on an initial 6 month rolling basis.

We are looking for a qualified Town Planner with current experience assessing planning applications, with particular experience dealing with a caseload of major applications.

Responsibilities:

• New dwellings, dealing with S106, and industrial proposals, amongst other major developments.
• Mentor junior staff and on occasion sign off applications in the absence of Team Leaders.

Qualifications:

• Qualified Town Planner with current experience assessing planning applications, with particular experience dealing with a caseload of major applications.
• Beneficial to hold an RTPI accredited Planning Degree or equivalent Planning qualification and/or have experience in a similar position.

Carrington West Pay Rate - £60per/hour
