Our client is seeking a highly accomplished Principal Electrical Engineer to spearhead critical projects within the rapidly growing renewables sector in Coventry, West Midlands . Key Responsibilities
- Provide expert technical direction and leadership for all electrical engineering aspects of renewable energy projects.
- Develop and review complex electrical designs, schematics, and specifications for grid-connected and off-grid systems.
- Conduct advanced system studies, including grid connection studies, power quality analysis, and protection coordination for renewable assets.
- Oversee electrical engineering aspects of project lifecycle, from feasibility and design through to construction, commissioning, and operational support.
- Act as a technical authority, liaising with clients, regulatory bodies, and key stakeholders to ensure project success and compliance.
- Identify and champion innovative technologies and methodologies to enhance project performance and efficiency.
Requirements
- A Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or a closely related field.
- A minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in electrical engineering, with at least 5 years focused on renewable energy systems .
- Demonstrated experience in grid integration, power electronics, and SCADA systems for renewable plants.
- In-depth understanding of relevant international standards and grid codes for renewable energy.
- Proven track record of leading complex technical projects and managing engineering teams.
- Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making capabilities.
