About the Role

Our client is seeking a highly accomplished Principal Electrical Engineer to lead complex electrical engineering initiatives within their state-of-the-art facility in Leeds . This senior position requires a strategic thinker with a proven track record in designing and delivering large-scale electrical systems. You will be responsible for setting technical direction, mentoring a team of engineers, and ensuring the highest standards of quality and innovation in all projects undertaken. Key Responsibilities

• Provide expert technical leadership and strategic direction for major electrical engineering projects.
• Design, develop, and oversee the implementation of advanced electrical systems, ensuring adherence to all safety and regulatory standards.
• Conduct in-depth analysis of system requirements and performance, identifying potential risks and developing mitigation strategies.
• Mentor and guide a team of electrical engineers, fostering their technical growth and promoting a culture of excellence.
• Collaborate closely with project managers, clients, and other stakeholders to define project scope, objectives, and deliverables.
• Champion the adoption of new technologies and methodologies to drive innovation and improve engineering processes.

Requirements

• Master’s degree or PhD in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
• 12+ years of progressive experience in electrical engineering, with significant leadership responsibilities.
• Extensive experience in system design, power systems, control systems, and embedded technologies.
• Demonstrated ability to lead complex, multi-disciplinary projects from conception to successful completion.
• Strong understanding of electrical codes and standards relevant to the industry.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
