Our client is seeking a highly experienced and visionary Principal Electrical Engineer to lead critical projects within their engineering division in Nottingham . This senior role demands extensive technical expertise and a proven ability to guide complex electrical engineering initiatives from concept to completion. You will be responsible for setting technical direction, mentoring junior engineers, and ensuring the highest standards of design and execution. The ideal candidate is a recognized expert in their field, passionate about innovation and delivering impactful solutions.

Key Responsibilities

Lead the technical design and development of large-scale electrical systems and infrastructure projects.
Provide expert technical guidance and mentorship to engineering teams.
Develop innovative electrical engineering strategies and solutions to meet complex project challenges.
Oversee the entire project lifecycle, ensuring adherence to budget, schedule, and quality standards.
Conduct advanced analysis, system modeling, and risk assessments for critical electrical systems.
Represent the company in technical discussions with clients, stakeholders, and regulatory bodies.

Requirements

Master's or PhD in Electrical Engineering or a related advanced technical field.
12+ years of progressive experience in electrical engineering, with a significant focus on design and leadership.
Demonstrated expertise in power systems, electronics, or a specialized electrical engineering domain.
Proven experience leading multidisciplinary engineering teams and managing complex projects.
Deep understanding of relevant industry codes, standards, and regulations.
Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
