Our client, a dynamic digital agency based in Manchester , is seeking a highly skilled Principal Frontend Developer to lead their user experience initiatives. You will be a key player in crafting exceptional user journeys, working closely with design, product, and backend teams to translate creative concepts into seamless, interactive web experiences. Key Responsibilities
- Architect and implement complex, responsive user interfaces using modern JavaScript frameworks (e.g., React, Vue, Angular).
- Champion best practices in frontend development, including code quality, performance optimization, and accessibility.
- Collaborate with UI/UX designers to ensure faithful implementation of visual designs and user flows.
- Conduct code reviews, mentor junior developers, and foster a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
- Lead the technical strategy for frontend development, evaluating and introducing new tools and technologies as appropriate.
Requirements
- 8+ years of professional experience in frontend development, with a significant portion in a lead or principal role.
- Deep expertise in HTML5, CSS3, and modern JavaScript (ES6+).
- Proven experience with at least one major JavaScript framework (React, Vue, Angular) and associated state management libraries.
- Strong understanding of web performance optimization techniques, cross-browser compatibility, and responsive design.
- Experience with build tools (Webpack, Babel), version control (Git), and frontend testing frameworks.
