Key Responsibilities
- Lead the geotechnical design and analysis for major infrastructure and building projects.
- Develop and manage comprehensive site investigation strategies and ground characterisation programs.
- Interpret complex soil and rock mechanics data to provide robust foundation and earthworks recommendations.
- Oversee the production of geotechnical reports, specifications, and drawings.
- Provide expert technical advice and support to project teams, clients, and regulatory authorities.
- Mentor and develop the skills of the geotechnical engineering team.
Requirements
- Master's degree or PhD in Geotechnical Engineering or related discipline.
- Significant experience (10+ years) in geotechnical engineering, with a proven track record in project leadership.
- Expert knowledge of soil mechanics, foundation design (shallow and deep), slope stability, and ground improvement techniques.
- Proficiency in geotechnical software packages (e.g., PLAXIS, GeoStudio).
- Familiarity with relevant British Standards and Eurocodes for geotechnical design.
- Strong commercial acumen and client-facing experience.
