About the Role

Our client is looking for a distinguished Principal Industrial Engineer to join their world-class team in Cardiff . You will provide expert technical guidance, lead large-scale improvement projects, and mentor other engineers. Key Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary technical expert for industrial engineering methodologies, standards, and best practices.
• Lead the design and implementation of complex, high-impact projects focused on optimizing supply chain, manufacturing, and logistics operations.
• Develop strategic roadmaps for process innovation and the integration of new technologies.
• Provide mentorship and technical leadership to junior and senior engineers.
• Conduct advanced data analysis, modeling, and simulation to identify opportunities and validate solutions.
• Represent the industrial engineering function in high-level strategic planning meetings and external forums.

Requirements

• Ph.D. or Master's degree in Industrial Engineering or a closely related technical field.
• 10+ years of experience in industrial engineering , with a significant portion in strategic or principal-level roles.
• Deep expertise in operations research , simulation, lean Six Sigma, and advanced statistical analysis.
• Demonstrated success in leading transformative engineering projects with measurable business outcomes.
• Experience with enterprise-wide process re-engineering and implementation of large-scale systems.
• Exceptional leadership, communication, and influencing skills.
