43000 - 50000 per annumBristol, EnglandPermanentAn exciting opportunity has arisen to join the growing Integration and Systems Validation team supporting the Land Ceptor project with Ground Based Trials activities for a large export programme.The opportunity: A varied role that consists of a mix of functional testing, equipment qualification and acceptance, plus problem identification and resolution. An opportunity to gets hands on experience with real equipment, and support testing and demonstrations of capability to MBDA's customer across sites in the UK, Poland and the USA. As well as working with other external stakeholders to deliver the wider weapon system to the customer.We are looking for a broad-based Systems Integration and Proving Trials Engineer who will be able to:Work with stakeholders across the project, from within partner companies and from the customer community, to plan trials to demonstrate integration and gather evidence to qualify MBDA Weapon Systems into a wider System of Systems environmentLiaise with the systems engineering team and design teams to ensure adequate trials data is acquired and to investigate and resolve design issues.Analyse and report on in-depth analysis of the system behaviour across its internal and external interfaces.Deliver trials in a number of environments, including:Lab-based integration and functional rigs;System of Systems integration trials;Acceptance trials;Firing trials;Conduct and support failure investigations.Support safe and reliable trials, including developing and maintaining risk assessments, management of hardware and software assets and control of hardware and software configuration.This is a UK-based role, with opportunities to travel abroad. This role provides a great opportunity to work in a fast-paced, customer-facing environment with guaranteed diverse work.This is a great opportunity to become a member of an expanding team delivering key aspects of the latest generation of GBAD system programmes and interfacing with the end Customer and User teams.What we're looking for from you:We are looking for an engineer with the following skills:Good verbal and written communication skills;Experience communicating at an appropriate level with a wide and varied range of both engineering and management stakeholders;Experience working within a large team, across multiple sites and with multiple departments;Experience with V&V lifecycle, requirement and configuration management and defect reporting.Experience in these areas would also be beneficial, though formal and on-the-job training will be available:Wireshark network monitoring tool usage;Network systems and protocols, experience of switch and router configuration and management;DOORS & Engineering Test Management (ETM) requirements tools;Basic understanding of network / cable assembly drawings;Fault finding and route cause analysis at subsystem integration level;Experience in customer facing roles.Salary: up to 50,000pa (depending on experience)Dynamic (hybrid) working: typically, 3-5 days per week on-site, due to workload classification (depending on testing)Security Clearance: British Citizen OnlyRestrictions and/or limitations relating to nationality and/or rights to work may apply.
