Key Responsibilities
- Architect and design novel mechanical systems and subsystems for advanced robotic platforms, focusing on mobility, manipulation, and human-robot interaction.
- Lead the mechanical design process from concept through to production, ensuring robustness, precision, and manufacturability.
- Perform advanced engineering analysis, including dynamic simulations, stress analysis, and thermal management, to optimize robot performance.
- Mentor and guide other mechanical engineers, fostering technical excellence and innovation within the team.
- Collaborate with software, electrical, and AI teams to ensure seamless integration of mechanical components with control systems and intelligent algorithms.
- Evaluate and select appropriate materials and manufacturing processes for high-performance robotic components.
Requirements
- PhD or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering , Mechatronics, or a related field.
- 12+ years of progressive experience in mechanical design and engineering, with a significant focus on robotics or complex mechatronic systems.
- Demonstrated experience in designing high-precision mechanisms, actuators, and robotic end-effectors.
- Expertise in advanced CAD/CAE tools, dynamic system simulation, and control systems.
- Strong understanding of sensor integration, power systems, and material science relevant to robotics.
- Exceptional problem-solving skills and a proven track record of innovation in complex engineering challenges.
