About the Role

Our client is seeking a distinguished Principal Mechanical Engineer to provide senior technical leadership and strategic direction for their complex engineering projects in Wolverhampton . This role is for an expert engineer who can innovate, solve the most challenging technical problems, and mentor a team of highly skilled engineers. You will be responsible for setting the technical vision, ensuring the highest standards of engineering practice, and driving forward the company's technological capabilities in a demanding industrial environment.

Key Responsibilities

Lead the technical design and development of advanced mechanical systems and complex machinery.
Provide expert consultation and technical guidance to engineering teams and senior management.
Develop and implement innovative engineering solutions to overcome significant technical challenges.
Oversee and conduct advanced engineering analysis, including structural, thermal, and dynamic simulations.
Mentor and develop junior and senior engineers, fostering a culture of continuous learning and technical excellence.
Ensure compliance with all relevant industry standards, regulations, and best practices.

Requirements

Master's or Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering or a closely related field.
Over 10 years of progressive experience in mechanical engineering, with a proven track record of technical leadership and innovation.
Expertise in advanced mechanical design, analysis, and simulation techniques.
Strong knowledge of materials science, manufacturing processes, and system integration.
Demonstrated ability to lead complex projects and solve multifaceted engineering problems.
Exceptional communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
