Our client is looking for a highly experienced and visionary Principal Mechanical Engineer to join their esteemed team in Belfast . Key Responsibilities
- Provide senior technical leadership and strategic direction for all mechanical engineering activities in Belfast .
- Lead the design and development of advanced mechanical systems, ensuring robust performance and reliability.
- Oversee the selection of materials, manufacturing techniques, and component suppliers to meet project requirements.
- Conduct advanced engineering analysis, including complex FEA and CFD, to predict and optimize product performance.
- Mentor and guide junior and mid-level engineers, fostering a culture of technical excellence and continuous improvement.
- Collaborate with senior management, product development, and manufacturing teams to align mechanical engineering strategies with business objectives.
Requirements
- Master’s or PhD in Mechanical Engineering or a related advanced technical field.
- 15+ years of progressive experience in mechanical design, analysis, and project leadership.
- Proven expertise in leading large-scale engineering projects from concept to completion.
- Deep knowledge of advanced manufacturing processes, materials science, and industry best practices.
- Experience with complex simulation software and data analysis techniques.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and leadership skills, capable of influencing stakeholders at all levels.
