Principal Power Systems Engineer - Grid Integration

Key Responsibilities

• Lead advanced power system studies, including stability, fault, and load flow analysis, particularly concerning the integration of variable renewable energy (VRE) sources.
• Develop technical standards, methodologies, and best practices for grid connection and network planning.
• Provide expert technical advice and consultancy to internal teams, external clients, and regulatory bodies on power system dynamics and integration challenges.
• Mentor and guide junior and mid-level engineers, fostering technical growth within the team.
• Contribute to the strategic direction of the company's power systems engineering capabilities and R&D initiatives.
• Represent the company in industry forums, conferences, and working groups related to grid integration.

Requirements

• Master's or Ph.D. in Electrical Power Systems Engineering or a related field.
• 10+ years of progressive experience in power systems engineering, with specialized expertise in grid integration and stability.
• Deep understanding of renewable energy technologies (solar, wind, storage) and their impact on power system operation.
• Proficiency with industry-standard power system simulation software (e.g., PSS/E, PowerFactory DIgSILENT, PSCAD).
• Proven experience in leading complex technical projects and providing expert technical leadership.
• Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
