About the Role

Our client, a premier recruitment consultancy, is seeking a highly accomplished Principal Recruitment Consultant to lead their Finance recruitment practice in Coventry . In this senior capacity, you will be responsible for driving strategic growth, mentoring junior consultants, and cultivating key client relationships within the financial services sector. This role demands a deep understanding of the finance job market and a proven ability to deliver exceptional recruitment solutions. You will play a critical role in expanding the firm's presence and reputation in the West Midlands, operating from a central, accessible office location.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and execute strategic business plans to expand the Finance recruitment desk in Coventry .
• Manage senior-level candidate relationships and conduct in-depth interviews to assess suitability for executive roles.
• Lead and mentor a team of recruitment consultants, fostering a high-performance culture.
• Identify and secure new business opportunities with financial institutions and corporations.
• Ensure the highest standards of service delivery and client satisfaction throughout the recruitment process.
• Maintain an in-depth knowledge of the finance job market , including salary benchmarks and talent availability.

Requirements

• Significant experience (7+ years) in recruitment, with a strong focus and demonstrable success in Finance recruitment .
• Proven ability to manage and develop a recruitment desk, including P&L responsibility.
• Exceptional negotiation, influencing, and stakeholder management skills.
• Experience in leading, coaching, or mentoring recruitment professionals.
• A proactive approach to business development and client acquisition.
