Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage multiple drug discovery projects from target identification through to lead optimization.
• Design and implement innovative experimental strategies to validate drug targets and characterize potential therapeutics.
• Mentor, train, and manage a team of research scientists and associates, fostering a high-performance culture.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including chemistry, biology, and DMPK, to achieve project goals.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with external academic and industry partners.
• Stay current with scientific advancements and emerging technologies in drug discovery.

Requirements

• Ph.D. in Pharmacology, Molecular Biology, Biochemistry, or a related life science discipline.
• Extensive experience (10+ years) in drug discovery, with a proven track record of leading projects to preclinical development.
• Deep understanding of disease biology, target validation methodologies, and small molecule or biologic drug development.
• Exceptional leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Experience with assay development, screening technologies, and compound profiling.
• Demonstrated ability to think strategically and solve complex scientific problems in a drug discovery setting.
