Principal Research Scientist - Neuroscience

About the Role

Key Responsibilities

• Lead strategic research programs focused on understanding neurodegenerative diseases and identifying therapeutic targets.
• Design, conduct, and interpret complex in vitro and in vivo studies using state-of-the-art neuroscience models.
• Develop and implement novel assays for measuring neuronal function, synaptic plasticity, and disease pathology.
• Oversee project timelines, resource allocation, and budget management for assigned research areas.
• Author high-quality manuscripts and present research findings at major scientific forums.
• Mentor junior scientists and contribute to a culture of scientific excellence and collaboration.

Requirements

• PhD in Neuroscience, Neurobiology, Molecular Biology, or a related field.
• Minimum of 8 years of extensive research experience in neuroscience, with a strong track record of publications and successful project leadership.
• Deep expertise in areas such as neurodegeneration, neuroinflammation, synaptic function, or CNS drug development.
• Proficiency in a broad range of techniques, including molecular biology, cell biology, electrophysiology, and advanced imaging.
• Experience with bioinformatics analysis of neurological datasets is a plus.
• Outstanding leadership, communication, and problem-solving abilities.
