About the Role

Our client is seeking a highly experienced Principal Structural Engineer to join their renowned consultancy in a fully remote position. This senior role will take the lead on complex building structure projects, providing high-level technical expertise, design leadership, and mentorship to a distributed team. Key Responsibilities

• Lead the structural design process for a wide range of building projects, from concept to completion.
• Provide expert technical guidance and mentorship to structural engineering teams working remotely.
• Perform complex structural analysis and design for steel, concrete, masonry, and timber structures.
• Review and approve structural calculations, drawings, and specifications prepared by the team.
• Engage directly with clients, architects, and contractors to understand project requirements and ensure successful outcomes.
• Champion best practices in structural engineering, innovation, and health & safety.

Requirements

• Master's degree in Structural Engineering or a related field.
• Chartered Engineer (CEng) status with a recognized professional body.
• Over 10 years of extensive experience in structural engineering design for buildings.
• Proven experience in leading design teams and managing complex projects, preferably in a remote setting.
• Advanced proficiency in structural analysis software (e.g., ETABS, SAP2000, Robot Structural Analysis) and CAD tools.
• Exceptional communication, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
