Our client is seeking a highly experienced and motivated Principal Telecom Systems Engineer to join their distributed team, with the role being fully remote. Key Responsibilities
- Lead the architectural design and development of complex telecom systems and platforms.
- Define technical standards, best practices, and engineering guidelines for network and systems development.
- Provide expert-level technical guidance and mentorship to engineering teams across various projects.
- Troubleshoot and resolve highly complex system-level issues, identifying root causes and implementing long-term solutions.
- Evaluate and recommend new technologies, tools, and methodologies to enhance system performance and capabilities.
- Collaborate with product management and business stakeholders to translate requirements into robust technical solutions suitable for a remote workforce.
Requirements
- Extensive experience in telecommunications systems engineering, with a proven track record in designing and implementing large-scale solutions.
- Deep expertise in areas such as IP networking, VoIP, cellular technologies (4G/5G), and associated protocols.
- Strong understanding of distributed systems, cloud-native architectures, and microservices.
- Experience with network automation, scripting, and software-defined networking (SDN) concepts.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Telecommunications, or a related field.
- Exceptional problem-solving abilities and strategic thinking skills, with the capacity to lead technical initiatives remotely.
