We're recruiting for an established print and mailing business in Corby who are looking for a Print Production Assistant to join their busy production team.
No previous print experience is required.
This is an entry-level opportunity for someone who is reliable, practical, and keen to learn a skilled trade. You'll initially work alongside experienced Printers, supporting them with the day-to-day running of production equipment.
Full training will be provided, with the opportunity to learn the machinery and progress into a Printer position as your skills and experience develop.
What You'll Be Doing
* Assisting experienced Printers with the running of production machinery
* Changing and handling reels of material
* Topping up inks and other consumables
* Strapping and preparing finished pallets
* Moving materials around the production area
* Helping with machine changeovers and production set-up
* Carrying out basic quality checks
* Keeping work areas clean, organised and safe
* Learning how the printing equipment operates
* Taking on additional machine responsibilities as your training progresses
About You
You don't need previous printing experience. We're more interested in finding someone with the right attitude who:
* Is reliable and punctual
* Is comfortable working in a hands-on production environment
* Is physically comfortable with moving materials and being on their feet
* Has good attention to detail
* Works well as part of a team
* Is keen to learn new skills
* Wants the opportunity to develop and progress
Previous experience within manufacturing, warehousing, production, packing or a factory environment would be useful, but isn't essential.
Hours
You'll initially work day shifts while completing your training.
Once trained, the role will move onto a rotating shift pattern:
Monday – Thursday:
6:00am – 2:00pm / 2:00pm – 10:00pm
Friday:
6:00am – 12:00pm / 12:00pm – 6:00pm
The Opportunity
This isn't just an operative role. For someone who applies themselves and wants to develop, there is a genuine opportunity to train and progress into a skilled Printer position.
If you're looking for a hands-on role where you can learn a trade and build a longer-term career within print production, we'd love to hear from you
