Job title: Print Machine Operator (Platen Operator)
Location: Thame, Oxfordshire
Contract Details: Permanent, Full-Time
Hours: 40 hours per week, rotating shifts:
06:00am - 2:00pm, Monday to Friday (30 mins lunch break)
2:00pm - Midnight, Monday to Thursday (40 mins lunch break)Salary: £27,040 - £39,520 per annum (£13.00 - £19.00 per hour), depending on experience

Ongoing training and development opportunitiesMy client is looking for a Platen Operator to join their skilled production team in Thame.
Responsibilities
Set up, operate, and maintain platen presses to produce high-quality printed products
Carry out cutting, creasing, embossing, and debossing processes to specification
Monitor machine performance and adjust settings to ensure optimum quality and efficiency
Interpret job tickets, artwork layouts, and production specifications accurately
Conduct routine quality and safety checks
Identify and resolve minor machine and quality issues
Work closely with production, design, and quality teams to ensure customer requirements are met
Maintain excellent housekeeping standards around machinery and work areas
Support continuous improvement initiatives to reduce waste and improve productivitySkills and Attributes
Previous experience operating platen presses or similar print finishing equipment is highly beneficial, although training will be provided
Strong technical understanding of cutting, creasing, embossing, and debossing processes
Excellent attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work
Ability to read and interpret production specifications and job instructions
Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
Good communication skills and ability to work effectively as part of a team
Positive attitude with a willingness to learn and developDesirable Skills
Experience within a commercial print, packaging, or manufacturing environment
Relevant training, apprenticeship, or qualifications in print or manufacturingTechnologies
