Park Avenue Recruitment are working with a Local Authority in the South West who are looking for an experienced Private Sector Housing Team Leader to support their HMO Licensing and Enforcement function.

You'll be leading a team of Environmental Health / Housing Enforcement Officers while remaining hands-on with complex HMO licensing and enforcement casework.

The role will include:

• Leading the HMO Licensing and Enforcement team
• Managing Mandatory, Additional and Selective Licensing applications
• Overseeing HHSRS inspections and complex enforcement cases
• Supporting the reduction of licensing and inspection backlogs
• Managing notices, civil penalties and prosecution work
• Allocating workloads and supporting team performance

We're looking for:

• Strong Local Authority Private Sector Housing experience
• Extensive HMO licensing and enforcement knowledge
• Good working knowledge of the Housing Act 2004 and HHSRS
• Previous team leadership or management experience
• Confidence dealing with complex enforcement cases
