Process Chemical Engineer

About the Role

Our client is seeking a proactive and skilled Process Chemical Engineer to join their dedicated team in Coventry . This role focuses on enhancing and troubleshooting existing chemical manufacturing processes, ensuring optimal performance and adherence to stringent quality and safety standards. You will play a key role in supporting production operations, driving continuous improvement initiatives, and contributing to the successful implementation of new technologies. Key Responsibilities

• Monitor and analyze process performance data to identify and address inefficiencies and deviations.
• Develop and implement process improvements to enhance yield, reduce waste, and lower operating costs.
• Conduct root cause analysis for production issues and implement corrective actions.
• Support the scale-up of new products and processes from laboratory to pilot and commercial scale.
• Ensure all process activities comply with environmental regulations and safety protocols.
• Prepare technical reports, documentation, and process flow diagrams.

Requirements

• A Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering or a closely related discipline.
• Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in a process engineering role within the chemical industry.
• Proficiency in process modeling and simulation tools, alongside data analysis techniques.
• Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing principles and statistical process control (SPC).
• Strong understanding of chemical plant operations and equipment.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments.
