Process Chemical Engineer

About the Role

Our client is recruiting a diligent Process Chemical Engineer to contribute to their operations in Newcastle upon Tyne . This role focuses on enhancing the efficiency, safety, and sustainability of chemical manufacturing processes. You will be instrumental in analyzing process data, identifying areas for improvement, and implementing solutions that align with industry best practices and environmental regulations. Key Responsibilities

• Analyze production data to monitor process performance, identify deviations, and recommend corrective actions.
• Develop and implement process improvements to increase yield, reduce waste, and lower operational costs.
• Participate in process hazard analyses and ensure adherence to stringent safety standards.
• Support the commissioning and validation of new equipment and process modifications.
• Create and maintain detailed process documentation, including P&IDs, operating procedures, and batch records.
• Troubleshoot operational issues, providing timely and effective engineering solutions.

Requirements

• Degree in Chemical Engineering or a closely related discipline.
• At least 4 years of experience in a process engineering role within the chemical or pharmaceutical industry.
• Proficiency in process control systems and data analysis tools.
• Familiarity with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and safety regulations.
• Strong problem-solving abilities and a methodical approach to troubleshooting.
• Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration in a hybrid setting.
