Our client is seeking a skilled Process Control Engineer to join their dynamic team in Derby . Key Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain advanced process control (APC) strategies and systems.
- Develop and tune control loops, ensuring stable and efficient process operation.
- Configure and program Distributed Control Systems (DCS) and Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs).
- Troubleshoot control system issues and optimize performance for safety and efficiency.
- Collaborate with process engineers and operations teams to define control requirements.
- Stay current with advancements in process automation and control technologies.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in process control engineering.
- Proficiency with DCS and PLC programming and configuration.
- Strong understanding of control theory, instrumentation, and process dynamics.
- Experience with simulation and modelling of control systems.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
