Process Design Engineer (Remote)

About the Role

Our client is looking for a skilled Process Design Engineer to join their forward-thinking organization on a fully remote basis. This role is integral to the conceptualization and detailed design of innovative chemical processes and facilities across various industries. You will be responsible for developing process flow diagrams, P&IDs, and conducting essential engineering calculations and simulations. Key Responsibilities

• Develop process designs, including PFDs, P&IDs, and equipment specifications.
• Perform mass and energy balances, and other key engineering calculations.
• Conduct process simulations using industry-standard software packages.
• Identify and implement process improvements for safety, efficiency, and cost-effectiveness.
• Collaborate effectively with project managers, clients, and other engineering disciplines remotely.
• Ensure designs comply with all relevant codes, standards, and regulations.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering or a related engineering discipline.
• Significant experience in process design and engineering.
• Proficiency in process simulation software (e.g., Aspen HYSYS, PRO/II).
• Strong understanding of unit operations, thermodynamics, and fluid dynamics.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Proven ability to manage tasks and deliver results in a remote work setting.
