Our client is seeking a dedicated Process Development Chemist to enhance their innovative product development team based in Coventry . Key Responsibilities
- Develop and optimize chemical synthesis routes for new and existing products, focusing on yield, purity, and cost-effectiveness.
- Conduct laboratory experiments to evaluate reaction parameters, catalysts, and solvent systems.
- Scale up chemical processes from benchtop to pilot plant, troubleshooting any issues that arise.
- Collaborate closely with R&D chemists, engineers, and manufacturing teams to ensure smooth technology transfer.
- Implement and adhere to strict quality control and safety protocols throughout the development process.
- Analyze and interpret experimental data, preparing detailed reports and technical documentation.
Requirements
- Degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or a related field, with a focus on organic or physical chemistry.
- Proven experience in process chemistry, scale-up, or chemical process development.
- Familiarity with analytical techniques such as HPLC, GC, NMR, and MS.
- Strong understanding of reaction mechanisms and kinetics.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and work effectively in a team.
- Excellent report writing and presentation skills.
