About the Role
Our client is seeking a skilled Process Development Engineer to join their innovative biologics manufacturing team in Reading . This role is essential for optimizing and scaling up biopharmaceutical manufacturing processes to ensure efficient, robust, and compliant production. You will be instrumental in improving yield, reducing costs, and implementing new technologies within their state-of-the-art facilities. Key Responsibilities
- Develop, optimize, and scale up manufacturing processes for biologics, including upstream and downstream operations.
- Troubleshoot process deviations and implement corrective actions to maintain product quality and yield.
- Design and execute experiments to evaluate new technologies and improve existing processes.
- Prepare detailed process development reports, batch records, and validation protocols.
- Collaborate with analytical development, manufacturing operations, and quality assurance teams to ensure seamless process transfer and implementation.
- Ensure all process development activities adhere to regulatory guidelines (e.g., GMP) and internal quality standards.
Requirements
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Chemical Engineering, Biochemical Engineering, Biotechnology, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in process development within the biopharmaceutical industry.
- Hands-on experience with cell culture (upstream) or purification (downstream) of biologics.
- Strong understanding of GMP regulations and their application in biopharmaceutical manufacturing.
- Proficiency in process modeling, statistical analysis, and experimental design (DoE).
- Excellent problem-solving, communication, and teamwork skills.
