Process Development Engineer - Chemicals

Our client is seeking a proactive Process Development Engineer to join their team in Coventry, West Midlands . This role focuses on the research, development, and scaling-up of novel chemical processes. Key Responsibilities

• Develop and optimize chemical synthesis routes and process parameters for new products.
• Conduct pilot-scale trials and troubleshoot scale-up challenges effectively.
• Analyze experimental data, interpret results, and prepare detailed technical reports and recommendations.
• Collaborate closely with the research team to ensure smooth technology transfer from lab to plant.
• Implement process safety studies and ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements.
• Identify opportunities for process improvement and cost reduction.

Requirements

• Master's degree or PhD in Chemical Engineering or a closely related field.
• Proven experience in process development and scale-up within the chemical or pharmaceutical industry.
• Proficiency in experimental design (DoE) and statistical analysis.
• Strong knowledge of organic chemistry and reaction engineering.
• Experience with analytical techniques relevant to chemical process monitoring.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
