Process Development Engineer

About the Role

Our client is looking for an innovative Process Development Engineer to join their dynamic team in Bradford . This role is focused on designing, developing, and scaling up new manufacturing processes to support product innovation and enhance existing operations. You will work closely with R&D, production, and quality teams to translate laboratory concepts into robust, efficient, and cost-effective production methods. Key Responsibilities

• Design and conduct experiments to develop and optimize new manufacturing processes.
• Scale up processes from laboratory or pilot scale to full production, ensuring feasibility and efficiency.
• Analyze process data to identify potential improvements and troubleshoot issues.
• Develop detailed process documentation, including Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and batch records.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of new processes into manufacturing.
• Evaluate and recommend new technologies and equipment to enhance production capabilities.

Requirements

• Degree in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in process development or manufacturing engineering.
• Strong understanding of process design and scale-up principles.
• Experience with statistical analysis and Design of Experiments (DoE).
• Proficiency in process simulation software is advantageous.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to innovation.
