About the Role
Our client is seeking a forward-thinking Process Development Engineer to join their innovative team in Milton Keynes . Key Responsibilities
- Design, execute, and analyze experiments to develop and optimize chemical synthesis routes and manufacturing processes.
- Scale up chemical processes from laboratory to pilot plant and full commercial scale, ensuring robustness and reproducibility.
- Develop detailed process documentation, including batch records, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and validation protocols.
- Collaborate closely with R&D chemists, analytical scientists, and manufacturing teams to ensure seamless technology transfer.
- Troubleshoot process deviations and implement effective solutions to maintain product quality and yield.
- Evaluate and implement new processing technologies to enhance efficiency and sustainability.
Requirements
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Chemical Engineering or a closely related field.
- 3-5 years of experience in process development, scale-up, or manufacturing within the chemical or pharmaceutical industry.
- Hands-on experience with laboratory and pilot plant equipment relevant to chemical processing.
- Strong understanding of reaction kinetics, thermodynamics, and mass transfer principles.
- Proficiency in data analysis and statistical process control (SPC) tools.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to present technical information clearly.
