Process Development Engineer

About the Role

Our client is looking for a forward-thinking Process Development Engineer to join their innovative team in Cardiff , Wales. Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and validate new manufacturing processes and equipment for product introduction.
• Conduct feasibility studies and pilot runs to assess the viability of new processes and technologies.
• Optimize existing manufacturing processes for improved yield, throughput, and cost reduction.
• Create detailed process documentation, including SOPs, work instructions, and validation protocols.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including R&D, engineering, and operations to ensure seamless process transfer.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex process-related issues during development and scale-up phases.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Minimum of 4 years of experience in process development or manufacturing engineering.
• Strong understanding of process design, scale-up principles, and statistical process control (SPC).
• Experience with relevant manufacturing technologies and equipment.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills.
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a collaborative team in Cardiff .
