About the Role
Our client is seeking a skilled Process Development Engineer for a contract role to support their operations in Glasgow . This position focuses on analyzing, refining, and developing new industrial processes to enhance efficiency and product quality. You will work closely with the R&D and manufacturing teams to troubleshoot existing issues, implement process improvements, and contribute to the development of scalable manufacturing solutions. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced engineer to apply their expertise in a dynamic, project-based environment, working remotely to deliver impactful solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyze and document existing manufacturing processes, identifying areas for improvement and innovation.
- Design, test, and validate new industrial processes and equipment configurations.
- Develop standard operating procedures (SOPs) and work instructions for new and modified processes.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of process changes into production.
- Troubleshoot and resolve process-related issues encountered during development and initial production runs.
- Prepare technical reports and present findings and recommendations to project stakeholders.
Requirements
- Degree in Industrial Engineering , Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
- Proven experience in process development, optimization, and implementation within an industrial setting.
- Strong understanding of manufacturing principles, statistical process control (SPC), and quality management systems.
- Proficiency in data analysis and problem-solving techniques.
- Experience with process simulation software is a plus.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a remote team environment.
