About the Role
Our client is seeking an innovative Process Development Engineer to join their dynamic team in Coventry . In this hybrid role, you will be instrumental in advancing our client's cutting-edge chemical processes from laboratory-scale development through to pilot plant and full-scale manufacturing. You will focus on optimizing reaction conditions, improving yields, and ensuring the scalability and robustness of new chemical technologies. Key Responsibilities
- Design and execute laboratory experiments to develop and optimize new chemical synthesis routes and processes.
- Scale-up chemical processes from bench-scale to pilot and commercial production, identifying and addressing potential challenges.
- Analyze experimental data, interpret results, and generate comprehensive reports documenting findings and recommendations.
- Troubleshoot and resolve process issues encountered during development, scale-up, and manufacturing stages.
- Collaborate closely with research scientists and manufacturing engineers to ensure a smooth technology transfer process.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of existing manufacturing processes, focusing on efficiency, safety, and cost reduction.
Requirements
- Degree in Chemical Engineering , Chemistry, or a closely related field.
- A minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in process development or chemical process engineering.
- Proficiency in experimental design, data analysis, and statistical process control (SPC).
- Experience with process scale-up methodologies and understanding of chemical reaction engineering principles.
- Familiarity with relevant safety protocols and environmental regulations in chemical manufacturing.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and excellent communication skills, capable of presenting technical information effectively.
