Key Responsibilities
- Lead the development and optimisation of chemical manufacturing processes, focusing on yield improvement and waste reduction.
- Design and execute experiments to test new process parameters and technologies.
- Analyse process data to identify trends, root causes of issues, and opportunities for improvement.
- Collaborate closely with R&D, production, and engineering teams to ensure seamless process transfer and implementation.
- Prepare technical reports, documentation, and process flow diagrams for new and existing processes.
- Ensure all process development activities adhere to strict health, safety, and environmental regulations.
Requirements
- Degree in Chemical Engineering or a closely related field.
- Proven experience in process development, scale-up, or optimisation within the chemical or pharmaceutical industries.
- Familiarity with process safety management (PSM) principles and risk assessment techniques.
- Strong analytical and data interpretation skills, with experience using statistical tools.
- Proficiency with process simulation software and data acquisition systems is advantageous.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills, comfortable working in a hybrid model with some on-site presence in Newcastle upon Tyne .
