About the Role
Our client is seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Process Development Engineer to join their innovative team based in Coventry . This role focuses on the research, development, and scale-up of new chemical processes, bridging the gap between laboratory concepts and full-scale production. Key Responsibilities
- Design and conduct laboratory and pilot-scale experiments to evaluate and optimize new chemical processes.
- Develop robust process documentation, including operating procedures, mass and energy balances, and P&IDs.
- Analyze experimental data, interpret results, and provide clear recommendations for process improvements and scale-up strategies.
- Collaborate closely with the R&D, engineering, and manufacturing teams to ensure seamless technology transfer from development to production.
- Identify and evaluate new technologies and equipment for process enhancement and innovation.
- Troubleshoot process deviations and implement corrective actions to maintain product quality and operational consistency.
Requirements
- Degree in Chemical Engineering or a closely related scientific field.
- 3-5 years of experience in process development, scale-up, or chemical R&D.
- Proficiency in experimental design, data analysis, and statistical software.
- Familiarity with chemical plant operations and safety protocols.
- Strong understanding of reaction kinetics, thermodynamics, and separation processes.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present technical information clearly.
