About the Role
Our client is seeking a dedicated Process Development Engineer to join their cutting-edge research and development facility in Milton Keynes . This role focuses on the innovation and improvement of chemical manufacturing processes, driving advancements from laboratory scale to pilot and full production. You will be at the forefront of developing novel techniques and scaling them effectively, ensuring feasibility, safety, and economic viability. The position requires a proactive individual with a passion for problem-solving and a commitment to pushing the boundaries of chemical engineering, working closely with R&D chemists and production teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and optimize new chemical synthesis routes and manufacturing processes.
- Design and conduct experiments for process validation and scale-up studies.
- Analyze experimental data, troubleshoot process issues, and implement corrective actions.
- Prepare detailed technical reports, documentation, and process flow diagrams.
- Collaborate with equipment vendors and internal engineering teams for process implementation.
- Ensure all processes comply with safety, environmental, and regulatory standards.
Requirements
- Degree in Chemical Engineering , Chemistry, or a related scientific discipline.
- Experience in process development, scale-up, or pilot plant operations.
- Familiarity with analytical techniques relevant to process monitoring and control.
- Strong understanding of chemical reaction engineering and separation technologies.
- Ability to work effectively in a laboratory and pilot plant setting in Milton Keynes .
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
